Anime boob fondling

Anime contributes to the problem of large breasts while also being a result of society’s large-breast pressure. Feedback loops perpetuate themselves. Anime still offers some breast-size diversity. Although, it does like to leverage size jokes: poking fun at small-chested characters and having girl breast fondling scenes. I have to note these bathing scenes provide examples of hadaka no tsukiai, a platonic openness and honesty that happens when clothes and social standing are pulled off (Crossley-Baxter, 2020). Anime’s largest breast sizes would most certainly cause spine degeneration. They become grotesque to my sensibilities. I’ve seen many anime fans list and rank breasts. With these and other media-boobs, it’s little surprise similar shapes and sizes were deemed “perfect” and “ideal” by women across the world.

When you think of a boob-fondling scene, you imagine it always from the (assumed) man’s point of view, because that’s usually what we get. The male gaze, in all its legendary cinematic forms, usually s the woman feel like an object in these kinds of “sexy scenes,” merely something to be desired or ogled. The man is the hero, because he gets the woman to bend to his will. Ergo, the man is in full control. Typically speaking.

Maoyu started out as a light novel series before being adapted into an anime, and the whole boob thing was non-existent in the light novels. I think the animation team was basically trying to use boobs as something to shove comedy in to up the darker tone. Not the greatest idea, but this is Japan, who has numerous times shown it likes over-exaggerated breasts. Why? I don’t know, maybe years of the women tying them down to get the perfect straight line visual in kimonos got old and when they started wearing western clothes, the guys found they preferred them flouncing about and ran with it. There’s a good bit of America that likes that idea too.

You may be ardent in saying that ecchi, fan service, and all things pervy are ing the anime industry, but you know you like it. It is not so much that those coy little panty flashes or strategic boob windows in medieval armor are even arousing, it’s just that it provides simple and playful humor. However, some anime series are worse about it than others. Some taking it way too far to the point that it is no longer fun, but maybe still a little sexy?
