There’s a reason why most people think tentacle hentai anime and manga are the definitive representation of Japanese porn. Tentacle erotica has been a part of Japanese culture for hundreds of years!

Hentai anime from the golden era were different, with a focus on the occult, science fiction, and drama. Sure, some were no better than the ones we’re getting now, but at least they tried to establish the lore, setting, atmosphere, and characters. Over time, a new generation of creators araised, and dark fantasy—especially tentacle hentai anime—fell out of grace.

Tentacle erotica isn’t as popular as it was in the ’80s, but this doesn’t mean there aren’t some fantastic modern takes on it. To shine some light on this controversial genre, we crafted a list with some of the best modern tentacle hentai anime. Could these be the future classics?!

The implementation of tentacles in Etsuraku no Tane is rather unique, treating them like living dildos assisting these lesbians to make the most out of their dickless lovemaking. The overall experience is pretty tame if you ask me, as rape is the only egregious element. Since all these girls have a tentacle parasite inside, they fuck each other using their own tentacles. Basically, they use some of them to suspend other girls in the air while the rest probe across their bodies.

As for the story, it’s in pieces. Like most hentai anime adapting visual novels, the priority is the sex scenes—still, there’s a bit of context here. Itsuki and Hiyori are a lesbian couple infected with a tentacle parasite feeding on their love juices. Behind the shadows, other girls also have tentacles, and they want to ruin Itsuki and Hiyori’s relationship…for plot reasons. Etsuraku no Tane won’t be winning any storytelling awards, but it’s a fun watch and tame enough for newcomers.

Tentacle zombies stalk the school hallways, infecting men with a tentacle parasite and capturing females for reproduction. A group of students and teachers have barricaded themselves inside the building, only to be picked off one by one by these monsters. But…what are these zombies, and why is there a tentacle monster in the first place? I still don’t know…

This tentacle hentai anime really cares for the story, so most of it revolves around the survivors slowly turning into zombies. You’ll only see a few tentacle rape scenes. When they do show up, though, they’re eye-catching, all thanks to these gorgeous female characters. There’s a bit of vore involved, with a giant monster swallowing the girls, but nothing too repulsive.
