At the school, these girls are divided into two classes; Extars who can transform into weapons when sexually aroused, and Liberator, who have the power to wield an Extar’s weapon form, known as Liberator Arms, through a process known as Drive. If you think all mermaids are cute and girly, you might want to avoid Mermaid Forest and its OVA Mermaid’s Scar. The mermaids in these anime are portrayed as selfish and dangerous beings, who eat humans to stay young. It was believed that consuming the flesh of a mermaid can give you immortality. Yuta is living proof, having lived five centuries in Japan in hopes of finding a mermaid that can turn back into a mortal and die in peace.

While there, Doraemon and his friends get caught up in a clash between the mermaids and another tribe trying to drive them out of their kingdom. Like other stories of Doraemon, Doraemon, Nobita, and their friends must help Sophia save her people by finding a legendary sword! Their adventure as a mermaid begins!

That would require people buying what the creators are selling, and thus far, they're not buying. Sakura Trick (which didn't sell well) sold better with its first volume than Valkyrie Drive has. You would think VD would have more considering the tie-in Vita game, the action, the yuri AND cross-over ecchi appeal, and if L is to be believed, the storefront presence in Japan, but no.

Few restrictions, and they still managed to shit the bed. Way to go, Valkyrie Drive. Way to go!

for me I am a very picky watcher, there are a lot of Anime I don't watch, some of them being One Piece or Naruto, as they don't really interest me, their Manga is awesome. but what makes them so popular is the fact that they are established franchises while Valkyrie Drive isn't well that established, which is where it falls down in the end.

That is what Valkyrie Drive is like. One of those porns that have a (terrible) plot. 😀

You know what Valkyrie Drive is, unless your sheer intellect has let you down, probably happens quite a bit, or you may have watched this show, completely naive to anime genres all together, either way you come across as crass. .
