Tsubasa has always been a little weird and detached, but when he gets dragged into a different world to rescue his supposedly lost mother, his brother Tokimaru knows that there is something more to his background. There they meet up with a mysterious character Shroud, captain of a pirate’s ship, and he becomes an aid in their adventures.

Do you have any recommendations for modern Chinese/Taiwanese dramas that were released recently (e.g. the past 5 years)? Whenever I look up "Chinese drama recommendations", there's always at least one or two wuxia dramas, and I find those super difficult to get into. Maybe something short too, like less than 30 episodes – ideally <25 episodes, lol!

So, Anne, i finally started watching Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms in earnest. I am currently on episode 27, and…………….. I don't know if it's because of the current depressed mood I'm in, life kicking my butt with more exams starting next week, or left over trauma from Princess Agents, but my goodness this show is terrible.

Wayyyyy too many missed meetings, keeping info, self-inflicted masochism and angst (if we cut down on all the misunderstandings and narrow missed meetings, this show would have ended in 30 episodes)….. annoying characters (that SuJin, XuanNu, and Zhang BinBin – but the number 1 is Feng Jiu). I also don't particularly like YeHua or Bai Qian (who's not the sharpest tool in the shed, esp as SuSu). The whole thing is boring.

what?!! nooo? how?? lol i really don't know what to say… I love TMOPB so much, and fell in love with not just the main couple but everyone in it. Yehua is the best guy on earth, in the heavens in all the realms. Sure, Mo Yuan is too coz he's basically played by the same guy:) Bai Qian is badass when she's thinking straight, and I actually like Feng Jiu even though I get why she'd be annoying.

So i started became interested in Cdrama because of Ten Miles of Peach Blossom which my friend had recommended me to watch. Initially i didn't find the hype of watching it along with my other friends and actually delayed on watching it, and also, i dislike watching shows which are over 20 episodes (so technically i'm a kdrama fan). Finally one day, i was bored and had nothing to do so i decided to embark on the long 58 episodes long drama, and…it was….real good! Even though i've watched Love o2o before, i find that it was a sweet high school romance drama, very uplifting to watch, but to Ten Miles, the feeling's different. From then on i started searching for historical romance dramas to watch, something like Princess Weiyoung, Eternal Love, Journey of Flower(omg). Till now, i still find that chinese dramas are still way too long for me, i have the urge to watch but i'd rather download it first then watch because i skip all draggy parts. But then again…i just came back from watching Nothing Gold can stay, sigh, i fell too deeply in cdrama land now. ><
