Scooby doo 1998 daphne blake porn comic

Beginning in 1969, the American animated comedy TV series Scooby Doo has been a cult favorite around the world for many years. Featuring a ‘monster of the week’ structure, a small group of individuals travel around the country in their iconic Mystery Van, debunking ghostly sightings and catching criminals along the way. This gang of vigilantes contains five members; Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and their dog for which the show received its name: Scooby Doo. Looking at the multitude of animated and live-action iterations of the show, there are some problematic and gender stereotyping patterns that arise when looking at the female character of Daphne Blake. The character of Daphne is often the object of a repeated damsel in distress stereotype and has been subjected to an increased level of sexualization and thus, her body becoming a symbol of objectification within the show. With all of this in mind, this begs the question: Is Daphne really part of the Scooby Doo Gang, or just a sexualized stereotype?

In the more recent years of Scooby Doo animations, Daphne Blake’s character has increasingly been hypersexualized with regards to the visual animation of Scooby Doo. In early episodes, Daphne is nearly always seen in a purple dress, pink tights, and a pair of flats. In more recent depictions, however, she can be seen in revealing nightgowns, bikinis, and sheer robes. This newer hypersexualized iteration of Daphne Blake is a product of the male gaze, characterized by a sexual imbalance split between an active male and a passive female.
