OMG. Finally a theme that befits its porn setting. Seasons in, seasons out, we have pseudo short anime porn that usually involve themes surrounding men in different jobs or uniforms. I’m going to preface this review by saying while I don’t think an anime like XL Joushi really needs a review, there aren’t any reviews out there for this show yet and I’m sure there are people who don’t understand that side of anime. Story Starting with the story, it’s completely ridiculous. Our female lead works for a condom company and she’s tasked with basically doing testing on their extra large-sized condoms…by having sex with one of her coworkers who happens to have the "requirements" that she’s seeking. In no way could this ever happen in the real world, and several other aspects of this show are very porn-esque (not that it doesn’t suit it), but you could see this as a positive if you REALLY wanted to enjoy this show for its superficial depth of plot. Animation The animation I found to be quite appealing when you ignore the more explicit aspects of the show, and a lot of the exposition leading up to said explicit aspects had some decent visual humor that actually got a couple laughs out of me. However, I found the sheen in everyone’s hair to be a bit off-putting for some reason, but maybe that’s just me. Sound Sound design was nothing special and the voice actors sounded competent enough (again, when excluding the sex scenes), but still nothing really that stood out or made the show more interesting than it appeared. There were some decent jokes that they often paired with the previously mentioned visual humor, but these always appeared within the first 5 minutes of each episode. Characters The characters were all pretty bland in their own special way, and I’m almost positive that every one of them could be described with a single word, though the character designs were a bit better than the characteristics that were attached to them. Conclusion Now that we’re at the conclusion, XL Joushi could easily be compared to this review: it’s short, forgettable, and makes you question whether you should’ve spent the time to sit through it. As a hentai, you could let a lot of these things slide, but since the genre as a whole is more akin to a video off Pornhub and has left an undeniably perverted mark on the medium of anime as a whole, I feel obligated to rate shows such as these with the same standards we would as any another anime.

The other ‘big star’ of this series is of course no other than Sudou’s dick. Of course it is definitely mosaic out but I am sure of all the anime (mosaic) dicks I have ‘seen’, his takes the cake. But then when we see this XL cock monster, well, it does sure give that weird feeling. Sure you’re not exporting to western countries? Because if Japanese guys here already have XL size dicks, maybe the American counterparts have XXXL size penis!!! OMFG!!! You are truly f*cked then! And seriously people, a single woman trying to test XL men’s condoms on herself? Like, that’s the worst no brainer plot ever.

But these short-length anime shows have their purpose and we argue (and we’ll continue to argue) they’re the perfect intermission anime during long anime marathon sessions. One of these short-length, stripped-down otome hentai titles is XL Joushi., a short romantic comedy about a girl reviewing condoms and her coworker/boss who is more than happy to test them out for her. And we know, XL Joushi. is extremely short and we all want to see more, so we’re here to help you out with that! One of the common traits in these otome hentai titles, all-age version or not, is that the male love interests are quite good-looking and they’re very assertive. Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. and XL Joushi. are romance anime where the main female leads end up sleeping with handsome men because the men are quite horny. Ryou is madly in love with Shizuka and the way he expresses his love towards her is rather perverted so Shizuka always tries to reject his advances because she only wishes to do these things with the one she loves. The relationship between Saki and Keisuke is, say, purely professional—Both have sex using the various types of XL condoms. Practical usage of condoms is the most objective way to review the condoms and Saki and Keisuke were so into it, they end up having sex all the time. Keisuke has a crush on Saki, but Saki doesn’t see Keisuke as someone to get into a relationship with.

If you’re a casual anime viewer, chances are you’ll end up checking out the all-age version of Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? in Crunchyroll. XL Joushi. is a romantic comedy anime where the main character gets into awkward situations with her love interest. Saki does something silly, it gets the attention of Keisuke and they both end up in a kinky situation. Rinse and repeat. Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? follows the same pattern but the difference is the guys are the ones doing something silly and end up in kinky situations with their female teachers. There are no actual sex scenes in the Blu-ray version of Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?, but it makes up for it in a ton of ecchi scenes that aren’t restricted by the 3-4 minute episode runtime like XL. Joushi.

In all honesty, thanks to the extremely short episodes, XL Joushi. has little to talk about, the anime is very easy to break down and we can pick several shows that have the same romantic-comedy-at-the-office criteria, like, say, Working!! and Servant x Servant. But since the all-age version of XL Joushi. is basically an otome hentai without the sex scenes, it’s only fair to compare the anime to other titles from the same category. Araiya-san!: Ore to Aitsu ga Onnayu de!? is another romantic comedy anime short that is aimed mainly for the female audience. Both shows feature a female main character getting into awkward and lewd situations with a guy who doesn’t pussy out. Saki’s sexual encounter with Keisuke was an accidental one-night-stand, but Saki soon enjoys her time with Keisuke and the two end up as a couple and enjoying sex more. Aoi has a crush on Souta and after she finds out Souta was the same guy who gave her that sensual massage at the bath, Aoi’s body starts craving for Souta’s touch. And after bumping into each other several times, the two fall in love and their relationship goes from touching Aoi’s body to sex.
