Male pregnancy comic

Yehuda Devir’s ongoing comic series, One of Those Days, chronicles his life with his wife Maya. His most recent drawings document Maya’s pregnancy!

And what’s going on with that darkened tip? You know how pregnancy makes your nipples temporarily darken? Would male pregnancy hormones darken the tip instead of the nips?

I’ve been drawing His and Hers comics for over a year now. In that time, Ray and Diane have gotten married, dealt with a deployment, faced a global pandemic, and eaten lots of pizza. Now, they’re expecting a little bundle of joy and handling all the new things that come with it (and yeah, they’re still facing a global pandemic). Hope you enjoy the drawings and the fun facts about pregnancy!

In a bonus chapter, Aki has decided to write a book about male pregnancy and interviews the leads from the previous chapters. During this time, she had not come out publicly about being the mother of Kotaro. In the end, she realizes that Kentaro cannot raise him on his own and tells him that she will always be there for him.

I only started reading comic books fairly recently. Even as a self-identified nerdy teen, I never understood the draw of the genre, and my geek friends (I went to a college dominated by engineering and pre-med students, so I knew plenty of them) weren’t really into superheroes either. But I started reading graphic novels and comics a few years ago, often recommended by a librarian friend. With the help of my public library (I didn’t even have to enter that seemingly scary male space of the comic shop!) I started dipping my toes into the sea of woman-centered comics and I’m so glad that I did. I found so many treats to enjoy: the Pakistani-American

You’ve got good taste in comics! I’m a big fan of all the comics you mentioned, and especially Spider-Woman. Sorry comic book shops are still a far cry from being as female friendly as they should be. If you haven’t heard of them yet, you might check out and see if the Valkyries have any shops near you, they’re a great organization of women working in comic stores (and libraries!)

This is a huge series, over 200 pages, so you’re in for a long, satisfying read. It’s split into three comic arcs, detailing Al’s first pregnancy, subsequent upbringing of Al Jr., and finally Al’s second pregnancy. The writing is engaging, the artwork is phenomenal, and you can’t help but fall in love with Al’s story. This poor man’s life is filled with so many problems that you’re wondering how it can possibly get worse, and then it does. The way Al gets on the maternity road in the first place is because of his father-in-law. Don Sarcoma is the head of the Chicago mob and he wants a grandson to carry on his legacy. Since Al’s married to Sarcoma’s daughter, Velma, it seems like the obvious solution would be to get Velma pregnant. Well, if it were that easy we wouldn’t have a book. Velma’s focused on her emerging career of being a singer/actress. The fact that she’s absolutely horrible won’t deter her and the fact that Velma’s not willing to carry a baby isn’t going to deter them either. There is technology available to make a man pregnant, perfected by doctors in Flordia. There’s already been a successful case and Al’s going to be the second. Mobsters and maternity was never so fun.
