Season 4 Episode 29 (aka Episode 88) will be releasing in 2023, according to an official announcement from the creators that aired on NHK in Japan.

So Season 4 Episode 29 (aka Episode 88) is airing in 2023. More than likely it will be January 2023, keeping with the same schedule that Season 4 Part 1 and Season 4 Part 2 followed.

Because there are only nine manga chapters left (chapters 131-139), we expect this trend to continue with Season 4 Part 3 and the first episode in 2023, which is Episode 88.

While you’re waiting for the show to return, I suggest going back and watching the English dubs of Season 4 Part 2, which are still being released. (The dub for this week’s episode, for example, will likely drop in about a month.) Quite a few dubs are already posted on Funimation

The final season will reportedly have 12 episodes in total, which means Attack On Titan Episode 87 will be the finale . That also means the Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12 release date will be in March 2022.

Part 1 ended by adapting Chapter 116, which leaves 23 more chapters before reaching Attack On Titan 139, the final chapter of the manga series. In order for the anime’s adaptation pacing to remain similar, Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 would need to have around 13 to 16 episodes.

But now know we that AoT The Final Season Part 2 has 12 episodes. That leaves two options: either the pacing will increase due to the action-heavy sequences or the final chapters will be adapted by an Attack On Titan movie.

The announcement of the exact release date was confirmed by a new Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 trailer that released on October 13, 2021.

The announcement of the second half was made at the end of Attack On Titan Season 4 Episode 16. The anime TV series will pick up the Final Season again in the winter with Attack On Titan Episode 76 (or Attack On Titan Season 4 Episode 17).
