Synopsis Tokyo Ravens: Onmyoudou magic was once a powerful technique used by the Japanese during the second World War in order for them to gain the upper hand and establish their nation as a formidable force. But Japan was quickly defeated after the revered onmyouji Yakou Tsuchimikado caused the “Great Spiritual Disaster,” an event which plagues Tokyo to this very day. As a result of this mishap, the Onmyou Agency was established in order to exorcise further spiritual disasters and combat the demons that would make their way into the world. Now, Onmyoudou has become far more modern, simplified, and refined for use in a wide variety of applications such as medicine and technology. However, not everyone is able to utilize the magic, as is the case with Harutora, a member of the Tsuchimikado’s branch family. Despite an old promise to protect Natsume, the heir of the Tsuchimikado’s main family and Yakou’s supposed reincarnation, as her familiar, Harutora has no talent and chooses to live a normal life instead. But when a prominent member of the Onmyou Agency attempts to recreate the same experiment which led to Japan’s downfall, he decides to make good on his word and fight by Natsume’s side.

a post on the twelve episode of Tokyo ravens
the first training of the list,is making curry using familiar.to my surprise, the student are having a hard time…even though they can face off against a spiritual disaster, and fend off attack from yakou devotee.apparently using familiar to cook curry is just too much of a task for them…clearly the latter is a lot harder task, than let’s say stopping a terrorist attack.anyway, suzuka notice something about natsume and her control of familiar.managing to do a full link(fully connected, thus experience and pain is shared), between herself and her familiar.this is used to lampshade the hell out of the hokuto case,in which natsume is apparently the controller of hokuto.another thing used to enforce that view is the little girl loving girl, from last episode.who come into the training camp, and manage to be baited by harutora.using her trademark love for little girls(that bastard!using people weakness like that).she calls the difficulty of such feat,as it would take extreme care to do such thing.something natsume is said to specialize at,or hinted at the curry making scene.
the episode sure was interesting…it is a lot more serious than the last 2 episode, pretty much going the other way in comparison.while the last two feels like a filler, and at times have little to nothing to do with the story.this one kind of have a lot going for it…so yeah, this episode was ok i suppose.i have to say this,i am not expecting anything from this arc.the arc it self is pretty much establish itself as a filler like arc, rather than part of the main story.a better saying would be it feels like a breather arc, rather than anything.so this episode kind of surprises me,with it focus on the current story and what not.i guess since this is the last episode of the arc, they are trying to set up for the next one.
i think that is all with the important topic.like i said above,in the impression of the episode.the theme of suzuka feeling for harutora barely got explored…shame, would have been interesting to watch.considering the title,it is even more of a disappointment.then again,i suppose setting up for the important arc was not all losses.
