Durarara episode 3 engsub 1000hd

Durarara!! (デュラララ!!), often romanized as DRRR!! in Japan, is an Anime based on the light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda. It began airing in Japan in January 2010 and ended in June 24, 2010. It was produced by Studio Brain's Base and directed by…
Even with all that jabbering over the rest of this post, this still is the last episode and looking back at the series overall, I really will miss it. Yes it could have been better, but what we got was fantastic either way. The gradual reveal of Shizuo until his grand entrance in episode 3 with his ‘IIIIIIIZZZAAAAAAYYYAAAAAA-KUUUUNNN’. Or how about the shortest-lived hobby in phone-stomping history. Then there was bubbling over how moe Celty was, followed by the outrage that she jumped back into Shinra’s arms. Remember constantly looking at the street signs for the latest reference to other anime? I was totally duped into believing that the head on Mika Harima’s shoulders did belong to Celty, which was often mentioned in quick succession with how fucked up the sexual preferences of the Yagiri family was. The awesomeness of Shingen was short-lived. The barrage of yaoi fanart was not, although was made bareable by the glories of genderswapping. The constant theories thrown around as to what the Slasher actually was. And how about the seemingly endless parade of parodies of the Trust Me ending song.
Anaru looks much much better in this episode. Tsuruko is not as bad as I assumed…yet?
In the end, despite all the supernatural stuff, Durarara!! is a character based story, so here are some character things I really appreciated this episode –
We’ll see that more in next week’s episode, but for now Izaya is content to stir the pot. Durarara!! is, at its heart, a show about crazy people forming messed-up relationships in strange circumstances. The first story arc focused mostly on romantic relationships: Shinra manipulating Celty into staying with him rather than searching for her head, Mikado’s awkward and ultimately fruitless attempts to court the cold and distant Anri, and Seiji and Mika’s relationship of mutual use.
Anyway, this episode got me excited about watching Durarara!! again. I’d say I can’t wait to see what happens next, but I watched the next two episodes immediately after this one. I need to catch up on writing about this.

Oh boy, here we go… I’ve been avoiding talking about Gaku because incoming typical Shadow controversial opinion time, but I don’t particularly like or care about Gaku all that much. I find him to be rather boring as a character, especially considering he’s probably the least developed out of all the characters. Not to mention I’m like probably the 2% of people who don’t like the Gaku x Tsumugi ship. I generally try to be fair in my posts by not letting negative biases overrule my sense of reason… but with Gaku I just can’t be bothered with him so I’ve just kept my mouth shut about him. However, in this circumstance, I can’t really avoid talking about him since he had a prominent role in the episode.
