i thought this anime (World Trigger) is a goner. Based on the ratings here and there are merely on average, but when i started watching it; WOW. it triggers excitement on me just like watching God Eater.
The first anime I thought of while watching God Eater was World Trigger. Though I don’t remember World Trigger well enough to point out all the similarities, both involve fighting giant monsters and a large group that trains people to fight plus talk of compatibility and stuff like that. Granted, World Tirgger has monsters coming in through gates while God Eater has monsters coming out of the earth but either way monsters, fortresses, organiations, and protagonists who aren’t perfect show up in both.
World Trigger is much like Bleach, if Bleach were team focused and set in an alternate present (Rather than spirits). Both have one on one battles lasting several episodes; both have otherworldy creatures attacking.
holy hell, I LITERALLY just stumbled across this while hanging out on the Kamen Rider Drive production site. Waaaaay at the bottom I saw a pic, and I went “what’s world trigger?” next thing I knew I was going down an interesting rabbit hole.
I’ve heard the manga’s WAY more interesting. I was not impressed with the premiere episode.
Season 1 featured a total of 74 episodes, and it successfully grabbed the attention of millions of worldwide viewers. So, it’s no wonder that Toei Animation renewed the series for two more seasons.
Anyway, if Crunchyroll uses its usual release pattern, here’s when you can expect episode 1 to arrive in these time zones:
For 10 years of existence, BetaSeries has become your best ally for TV shows: manage your calendar, share your latest episodes watched and discover new shows – within a one million member community.
I’m not someone that fusses about animation or visuals, in fact, I often preach that good storytelling, plot, direction are all qualities that an anime should have over actually being good eye candy. But when it drops below and acceptable standard….gosh. Again, did anyone really care about how this anime looked? I can deal with it if it’s like some middle series filler episode or something but hell no, this is episode 1. Do you even care about your first impressions? It’s like walking into an interview in your boxer shorts.
