I have completed season 1 which is of 39 chapters of this Manga. As the author said there are going to be like a 100 or so episodes. I’ll wait for the completion of season 2 before reading and reviewing it. The art style was as always beautiful. I especially like how elaborate and unique the clothing and accessories are more than the characters actual faces. I’m glad yusa toned down a bit on the hair styles. I was not a fan. Overall they are beautiful to look at. The surrounding is also always very well drawn.  The character profilers are well made. They have deep characters and they grow with time which is good. But yusa always nails it so not really a surprise there. Her characters has this haunting quality to it. It’s beautiful.  Now about the plot and the actual story: Warning: Serious spoilers involved.  So season 1 has been a roller coaster ride to say the least. There were a lot of emotions involved. But to sum up from the start I was sad when nara came with a purpose to kill the child and gained his strength, I was elated when he supported the poor kid and spend time with him. I was appalled at his betrayal but later happy that he drunk the poison himself. He got payback for his crime to I guess with his voice changing. I hurt when the Prince had to go n later happy he came back but then it was all a huge mess. There were a lot different emotions that I couldn’t even pinpoint them. But I was literally mad when the evil tasara forced himself on him. Later we get to know many sides to him though. Then they both were in love but it all went down to shit. N at the end they merged together which is what I was hoping for so I’m glad how season 1 ended though poor tasara can’t make up his mind. I’m glad it turned out the way I wanted. It would have seriously hurt me if the evil tasara was no longer there. He is an integral part after all. With all that said, I’m looking forward to season 2. Hoping in vain that there won’t be any sexual abuse. Though nara did betray him he repented. I hope tasara will be able to forgive him sooner rather than later. Though I guess I can understand his side as well. Being betrayed by the only person you hv trusted in your whole little life would have been catastrophic for him. But I want to see them happy and being lovey Dovey. Thank you author for this read. PS: I jumped into this story thinking that it will be another 60 chaptered story as her other books. So I started when there were 45ish chapters thinking that It will be near the end but then she is planning on many many chapters so I’m a bit disappointed that I have to wait for so long now.

Here the story is developing a feeling close to that of a horror story, which we’d ensured to put in the foreground. However, the metamorphosis scene, where a meek Chaka picks up Anubis and transforms, is so sudden I can’t stop finding it comical. (laughs)

The beginning of the episode allowed us to have more screentime for Kakyoin. Since he won’t recover for a while, it is best to show him while we can.

The scene where Polnareff uses his secret technique and shoots his sword’s blade is rendered in 3D. We have fewer occasions of using 3D in the Egypt Arc. It was the first time since Episode 25.
