I’ve done a lot this year, writing wise. I started this blog, increased my yearly word count by over 60,000 words from last year, found people to talk to about my crit role work instead of bothering my friends about it 100% of the time, committed multitudes of crimes against punctuation, and more. I didn’t make it to 50 fics, or to 100,000 words written, but hey, there’s always next year!

The Campaign 2 finale feels like just yesterday and I’m incredibly proud of my post-canon series: When We Stop Runnning. Over the course of this year, I have become a person who can write dialogue, even going as far to write the largely dialogue You’ll Hear When I Do. Campaign 2 holds such a large place in my heart. and despite my fears that I’d lose my love for it when campaign 3 began, I have a number of campaign 2 wips that you’ll see sooner or later. I have more to write for When We Stop Running. There are 5 more members of the Nein to write in Lives of Nein (and I certainly have thoughts about Yasha). I am very excited about some of the AUs I’m working on – prepare for the Beau Yasha first meeting in the Aeor Era AU at some point soon, and Thinner Than A Razor is my dearest project (even the notes make me giddy with excitement). Campaign 2 will definitely return in 2022.

I can assure you that the Terror Fic I wrote was a joke for my friends, who are obsessed with it. You may see more joke fics based off conversations in the kitchen (there’s this one Good Omens joke that I started). There will likely be no more Terror.

But overall, thank you to everyone who has read my work this year. Thank you to everyone who has commented or left kudos or bookmarked them. Yes, he is a plumber by trade, but he also ghosts hunts, and makes bank off of that. You think he would wear a different outfit when he ghost hunts simply because denim Isn’t meant for physical activity. Anyone who’s run in jeans knows that it isn’t exactly meant to be stretchy. It’s (supposed to be) designed to withstand the test of time. So why doesn’t Luigi change from plumbing cloths (specifically his denim overalls) to something more suited for the running he has to do in various places for ghost hunting? Because Mario wears overalls and a t-shirt.

One thing of many I love about Leverage is the way Parker and Hardison’s relationship was allowed to gradually and adorably develop without forced soap opera-tier drama to make it more “exciting”. If this was nearly any other show the part where it looked like Hardison might be getting a girlfriend would have been dragged out over several episodes with Parker agonizing over it and acting jealous the whole time. Instead she was allowed to realize that same episode with the help of Sophie that she had to say something, which she does in a distinctly Parker way. Thier arc really just felt like two people falling in love.

the southlands is just. everything is funny until its not. dropping lava on each other is funny until one of them burns to death. giving lives is funny until one of them runs off with it. losing spyglasses is funny until jimmy’s dead. spying on mumbo during his intros is funny until he’s gone too. running jokes into the ground is funny until there’s no one else left to laugh.
