This anime is another example of something that gets better with each episode and right now, I am thoroughly impressed and can’t wait to watch more. Overall amazing.

Netero and the other examiners gather at a table as they discuss the examinees and the preparation for the final phase. The group of Leorio, Hanzo, and Pokkle are studying at the library then Pokkle gets mad at Leorio making a cheat sheet for the supposedly written exam, Hanzo, on the other hand, wants to go to the proctoring room guessing that there might be a copy of all the answers. Shortly an announcement stating that each examinee as per the number of their badge will be called out to enter a room where Netero awaits. Hisoka being the first applicant called enters the room where Netero is, The chairman asks Hisoka his reasons for obtaining a Hunter License followed by another question on who amongst the examinee he’d like to fight and the least he’d like to fight. After Hisoka answers all his questions, exits. Pokkle is called next as he answers the same question, Hanzo and Leorio are seen eavesdropping outside of the room and find out that this is just an interview and not the final exam. Moving on, Bodoro is the next examinee to be called, then Gitarackur, Gon, Hanzo, Kurapika, Leorio, and lastly Killua. As the examinees gave their answers to the same questions, Netero has all the information to complete the preparation of the final test. Later on, Kurapika and Leorio watches Gon and Killua having fun while playing with Gon’s fishing pole. Netero prepares for the final exam as the examiners find out that the final phase will be a tournament. Arriving at their destination, Chairman reveals a chart showing each applicant’s respective badge number as they will battle each other in a tournament. Upon checking the chart’s diagram, examinees immediately had a notion that only one examinee will pass the test.

Episode 26 is another letter and recap episode. Pass.

Agreed. If there’s been a gap or something then a recap might be required but as I can skip to the next episode with this, I did.

I do wish they were drawn differently so I could not see their Yu Yu Hakusho counterparts in them. But I guess the cute act sells more people know about Hunter X Hunter than Yu Yu. Then again Yu Yu came out in the dark days of anime before it was easily accessible.

I really love HunterxHunter. I think I watched all the available episodes, everytime. No skipping.

I think I spent about 30 seconds on this ep, just skipping through it really fast. Why are they doing these recaps? It's not like you forget what happens in 8 eps or so. And they don't have to wait for the manga either xD

Well, I didn't watch the recap but I did skip to the end to see the preview for the next ep. Zushi looks kinda cool.

Opening Song – Hunter yo Eien Nare! (Hunter X Hunter OST 2011)

I don’t know if you guys read the comments, but in the last 2 episodes you guys seem confused by the birds and the group that’s with Gon. It’s a reference to a minor scene in volume 21 during NGL. It’s Kite’s students (apprentice hunters) that entered NGL with Gon and Killua initially, one of them talked about these amazing swans that Gon should see once they rescue Kite. So yea, its kinda been 8 years reading NGL, but that’s a reference to that chapter. So none of those guys are ants lol, all weird looking humans and Kite.
