Among other things, this was more ideal than doing 7 individual episodes. This is mostly a comedy / mystery based part that has less to do with the actual plot and is more for entertainment. However, directly follows the events of the Book of Circus. Shows some new plot relevant characters, so shouldn’t be skipped if possible. The plot of this is certainly already known from some films or parodies. A celebration in a villa – A storm that has cut you off from the outside world – Creative and mysterious murders take place.It’s as simple as it sounds. But what was really interesting about it was the implementation and the dissolution in the end. Conclusion It was mostly just a big comedy, but I will certainly remember it. I can’t say more about this, because there is almost nothing to list.

Rather than feeling cliche, Book of Murder has a strong sense of self awareness; if it’s not exceeding the genre’s tropes with ambitious new ideas then it’s parodying them or making clever references. Overall the formula feels fresh thanks to Black Butler’s dark humour and unique main characters. No detective fiction I know of includes a demon butler, and Sebastian’s part in the story makes for a very entertaining watch.

With an overall competent story, it’s only really the format that lets Book of Murder down. It adapts a similar amount of the Kuroshitsuji manga’s volumes as Book of Circus, but condenses it into just over half the run time. Then it’s been uncomfortably split into two OVAs that don’t really work on their own. In isolation part one is unsatisfying, and if you just watched part two, well it wouldn’t make any sense.

Black Butler is one of the most popular shonen franchises among the female demographic. The story of the series is a bit of a mess rife with inconsistent thematics and confusing connotations. However, the fans can’t get enough of the series because of the pair of handsome butler and cute master. But the butler is not all look. He can slip in and out of a room without anyone noticing. All this helps when the butler kills with knives and forks and can disengage his master from any sticky situation.

The series has lots of filler with story firmly faithful through volume 5 and a few anime that has completely strayed from the manga source material. However, it didn’t affect the overall story of Black Butler. It kept the viewer engaged with a mix of mystery, comedy, action, and a significant amount of complex characters. There are several anime seasons and a theatrical movie of the series.
