One piece capitulo 620

The pirate tale of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates in search of the ultimate treasure, One Piece, is reaching its thousandth chapter, and now is the best time to jump on board.

One Piece fans were treated to a ton of celebrations in 2021 after the franchise hit its 1000th chapter in its manga. There’s also the 100th volume that was released as well, and the upcoming 1000th episode of the long-running anime adaptation.

Needless to say, the hype train for Eiichiro Oda’s shonen masterpiece is not slowing down just yet, as there are still a ton of upcoming plot threads that still need to be tackled before the series can ever begin to end.

So while we rejoice at the world’s second best-selling comic book series reaching incredible heights in 2021, let’s take a look at what we can expect in the future of One Piece, based on the many clues that this manga author has laid out for us over the course of its publication history.

As George Lucas famously said of his Star Wars saga: “It’s like poetry… It rhymes.”, we think the same applies to the world of One Piece. With many fans already seeing the parallels between the pre-New World sagas and the ongoing storylines, it is only a matter of time before Luffy gets his revenge on his older brother’s murderer.

Out of all the Straw Hats, archaeologist Nico Robin is the most intriguing member of the crew. With her being the only person dedicated to finding out the mystery of the Poneglyphs and the missing chapter of history, the Void Century, she truly holds the fate of the One Piece in her hands.

As with any shonen manga, it is almost a given for our heroes to get stronger and stronger. Even in the ongoing Wano arc, we have seen the three strongest members of the crew, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, getting all-new power-ups that are sure to make them some of the most formidable fighters in the entire One Piece pantheon.

One thing that has always been certain with One Piece is the actual ending of the series, which has been laid out from the get-go. Luffy is destined to get the One Piece and be the King of Pirates when he gets to the final island, Laugh Tale.

It’s hard to imagine when we actually get to see this final act come true, with most fans expecting the end of the series to come in the next 5 to 8 years or so. Either way, it would truly mark the end of One Piece once we see Luffy and his crew finally achieving their dreams.

One Piece is one of the biggest comic franchises in the world, with over 1000 published chapters, 100 collected volumes, and an impending release of its 1000th episode later this year. The series has even recently surpassed Batman as the second highest selling comic book series of all time, with only Superman ahead of it.
