Have you ever felt like the world would be a better place if certain people weren’t around? Such grim daydreams might occur when watching the dismal daily news, but on one fateful day, Light Yagami finds that these daydreams can become reality. By pure happenstance, he comes across a black notebook entitled "Death Note", whose text within states that whoever’s name is written on its pages will die. With the aid of the death god Ryuk, Light takes it upon himself to rid the world of its corruption, ushering in a new era of purity one death at a time. But as Ryuk foretells, Light’s actions will not go unchallenged…

And a bloody good start it is, because I love the shit out of the manga. The everloving crap out of it. So they would have had to make this all CGI, unfaithful and make it look like absolute fucking shit for me to hate it. Fortunately, there is no shitty ass CGI (That I remember), it’s faithful, and it looks good. And looks faithful to it, complete with horse head mask, which would have looked great in a suit but packs quite a punch.
Straight up, boners for survival games. That is my sub-genre of anime/manga: death games. This has killer hide and seek, more killer hide-and-seek, a killer… kinda like a riddle game, but also a really douchey riddle game. You can think of it as one game per episode and covers a good part of the manga in those three episodes. Has some good suspense and it’s pretty interesting in how the games go about themselves and how they react to it. The card numbers offered per game is a highlight, as it determines what challenge it’ll be, from physical, mental, something and my favorite, Hearts. Or psychological, which is another thing I enjoy: Psychological death games. Those are great.
What you don’t get, is backstory on the Borderlands itself. That, or any explanation for anything apart from what veterans of the Borderlands know and what they tell the MCs. You’re left in the dark about the whole ordeal and the best you’ll usually get is about what’s currently going on, as in the current game.
And one thing I absolutely loved was the intermission cut to the anime title. I loved that shit.
Overall, it’s a good three episode OVA, although you can just read the manga and have the same experience but in triple quick time. For an adaptation, it’s just darn spiffy and fans of the manga would enjoy it.
DAMC Presents: A Damn Bloody Good Start to the Marathon

This is my first review and english is my second language so please just ignore my  mistakes.
This three episode ova is about a bunch of guys who sucks in the real world being warped in another world where they are force to participate in a survival games. These games are exiting and actually make sense.
Story
Story is pretty fast paced. You would find cliff hanger at the centre of each episode which will make your heart go crazy. Despite it being unique in many ways there are still plenty of story lines so one might find it to be a rip off.
Art
The art is pretty good . It does not have that dark and scary feeling. It emphasizes on light and harmony in colours, bringing forth brilliant details.
Sound
Nothing special except preview music I liked it very much.
Characters
The characters are likeable. You can see the layers they are hiding. They make some progress and discover thier hidden abilities, but it does not take long as expected from three episode long anime.
Overall
The ejoyment is lot more than what you expect from a three episode long ova. As a matter of fact it is absolutely perfect and will  leave you wanting more.

Each game is designed and supervised by dealers (people who’ve also been transported to Borderland, but who must kill players through games to keep living). They’re also based on a playing card, with the number representing the difficulty (the higher the harder the game) and the suit the category. Spades represent physical-based games, testing player strength and endurance. Diamonds are intelligence-based games, focusing on mental calculation, rationality, and logic. Clubs are interpersonal, a balance between Spades and Diamonds but also requiring cooperation between the players to succeed. Last but not least are hearts, the most terrifying of all. These are psychological games, meant to trap the players into corners and manipulate them accordingly.

It’s that connection that makes watching these characters struggle and overcome and grow so satisfying. It’s as if these characters are looking at us and teaching us lessons. To live, we need to strengthen ourselves, to change, to support and in turn be supported by others. We see characters grow past being scared, grow past insecurity and despair to move forward, no matter what the future holds.

It’s a viewpoint we don’t see until the Jack of Hearts game, and it’s no coincidence that all of the characters are new. Had Arisu or his friends been involved, it wouldn’t have ended so decisively. But it fits in with the story all the same: just as some people find strength within themselves to survive the games, others revel in their sadism. It’s a loathsome feature of Borderland, but one that demonstrates the dimensionality of humans. Not everyone’s likable. Not everyone’s moral. But that just makes the people who are all that more poignant.

And it’s that bond that saves all of them. When Agni leaves to fulfill the duties of a father and kill the King of Spades, Doudou finally discovers his reason to fight: to not let Agni or Heiya die. Heiya, too, arrives just in time to help. Each of them refuses to let the other two die, will face danger just to protect them. That determination gives them the strength to defeat Shiirabi. Agni even gives him peace, having realized that the two share the regret of killing a friend. The entire resolution to the game is a mirror to Shiirabi’s past: where he sought to protect others by giving them early death, Doudou, Agni, and Heiya protect each other by giving life.

High schooler Yuu and his friend Haru get involved in a case involving his childhood friend Kotona, which forces them to go back and forth between another world that is different but is somewhat similar to their world, Ni no Kuni. The real world and Ni no Kuni, when Kotona’s life is in danger, what’s the ultimate choice…
