On 21 September, a special animated episode, the first of three, published the third volume of Ogeretsu Tanaka’s Yarachin Bitch Club. In the fujoshi community, this episode was the source of much excitement. An English translation has unfortunately still to be announced (even with just subtitles). I, therefore, put on my Japanese study cap and saw the episode entirely without any subtitles in Japanese. I’m at the N4 level and can state that I understand around 60-70%, adding that I read the manga and I had an insight into what was happening.

The story is over! Takashi Toono has just moved to a distant high school in Tokyo. He decides to join the photography club in the school, because, after school, well, snapping photographs seems relaxing? The school’s photo club is unfortunately known to him as the school’s sex club, which was called ‘Yarichin-bitch club.’ Unfortunately, for him, the club is a well-known secret. Presented at a colorful club of the elderly, Yaguchi has his hands full with his blossoming classmate crush.

The episode will still be watched by potential fans who haven’t checked the manga out. The series and characters can serve as a pretty much introduction. But it doesn’t go far deeper, so it can feel a little superficial. Overall, the episode covered around 60% of the first six chapters.

Due to the necessary school club regulation, Toono decides to join a “Photography Club” with little effort, although it does not seem to belong to the club. The Yarichin Bitch Club, whose members give pent-up children sexual service in the Academy for no other purpose than the pleasure of sex. Even worse is its sexual quota monthly – and the punishment for failure is severe: the club takes its innocence brutally. As time elapses, however, Toono remains ashamed and out of choice.

Yagukhi, and Yuu Kashima, the transferring student and club comrade sharing Toono’s difficulty, are on Toono’s side during his suffering. The group has to cope jointly with sex, secrets, and even stalkers during the initial years of its fight against their sticky predicament!

The theme song is “Touch You” by Shiritsu Morimori Gakuen Seishun Danshis, with the cast members performing as their characters.

First year Toono transfers from Tokyo to the all-boys boarding school deep in the mountains, “Mori Moori Private School.” The friendly Yaguchi who calls out to him becomes his only friend, but his dislike of sports makes him join the most laid-back looking photography club instead of Yaguchi’s soccer club. However, the photography club is in name only, and is actually nicknamed the “Yarichin Bitch Club,” filled with colourful seniors.

In contrast to the troubled Toono, Kajima, who joined the club at the same time, is completely unphased and even slips a confession to Toono into the confusion. Toono himself thinks Yaguchi is cute, but Yaguchi finds himself blushing around Kajima and stuff happens.
