We start in the Central 46, where Aizen is being judged. He is sentenced to the lowest underground prison level, the eighth prison ‘Avici’, for 18,800 years. Aizen is tied up to a chair, but he seemingly enjoys it. He then says that he finds it ironic that beings of the Central 46’s caliber are passing judgement on him. This angers the Central 46, and they order for Aizen’s eyes and mouth to be bound. They tell him not to get cocky just because he’s immortal, and raise his sentence to 20,000 years. Meanwhile, at Squad 1 barracks, Yamamoto calls Shunsui, Byakuya and Kenpachi imbeciles, as they lost their captain haoris. He says he’d understand if they got ripped, but the fact that they say they lost them and still have content faces worries him. Byakuya tells him not to worry, as he can easily buy replacements for the cheap haoris. Yamamoto tells him they are not cheap, and asks them what they think the haoris are. Kenpachi answers they are a pain in the ass, Byakuya says they are cheap, and Shunsui says they are stylish. Yamamoto gets angry and calls them morons. Outside, Jushiro, Sentaro and Kiyone are listening in, and Jushiro remarks how Yamamoto, whilst losing an arm, has regained his stamina after 10 days. He then states that Soul Society still has yet to see anyone capable of replacing him.
