This had potential and was going good, but failed to deliver in the end. Dropped around chapter 200. Pretty standard wuxia kind of cultivation story, but with a twist of "Battle Spirits". I’ll note it does suffer from what I call Wuxia Syndrome (the whole "Courting Death!" and excessive blabber that adds literally nothing other than to fail at attempting to hype up the MC to look better. I skipped probably more than half of the dialogue and was for the better because of it) Overall, first 100 or so chapters were pretty good for what you expect. MC is reasonable, knows when to be merciless, and the plot progresses well enough. After that it just rots. MC just seems to become useless. The MC doesn’t really do much other than taunting those stronger than him (which he then has people help protect him) and bullying those below him. He goes around calling people trash, becoming the bully he has always hated. Also he suddenly became excessively merciful. Potentially spoiler: After conflict on multiple occassions he just lets them off after robbing them. It is obvious they will try to take revenge, and some even outright say it to his face. Even when he definitely should (e.g. says he will if x then x happens but he doesn’t anyway because "Yay treasures"?). It was going really well, but just dropped off and just feels disappointing and frustrating. TLDR: Too much of a standard wuxia style and just leads to a disappointment
